During a recent storm, a neighbor was snowed in and needed medical care. So I grabbed my blood pressure cuff, my stethoscope — and a few food supplies — and made a house call.
As a little girl, I dreamed of becoming a doctor who cared for people in their homes and communities. To now live in this beautiful part of the world and be able to show up for my neighbors in that way feels deeply meaningful.
Medicine, at its core, is about service. It’s about showing up.
