Your liver is so important! In this series, we’ll take a deep dive into liver health and how to do a liver cleanse which should be once a year. What does your liver do? It is responsible for multiple critical functions for you. Your liver is your primary organ that filters out toxins. All of us are exposed to toxins every day – we inhale them, put them on our skin, eat them in our food, and find them in our clothing. These toxins are filtered by your liver. Your liver is also important for maintaining a healthy blood sugar and a healthy immune system. Your liver helps make clotting factors that keep your blood clotting normally. Your liver helps you to metabolize medications. And it’s also responsible for maintaining your ‘happy hormones,’ your sex hormones as well as your fat-soluble vitamins.

Your liver is essential to your life. Over the next few weeks, I’ll talk about liver detox and I’ll take you shopping for a liver cleanse.
