Middle Eastern Lamb Lettuce Wraps
Serves 4-6
Ingredients
2 lb ground lamb
2 packs hydroponic bib lettuce
1 red bell pepper diced
1 can mild green chilies diced
3 yellow onions
1 bunch cilantro
1 bunch green onions diced
4 tbss minced ginger
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 cup organic plain yoghur
Rice
1 tbsp garam masala
1 tbsp coriander
1 medium tomato diced
Pinch red pepper flakes (optional)
Preparation
- Add lamb, bell pepper, tomato, coriander, garam masala to frying pan on medium heat. Cook until done. Set aside.
- Drain juices and place juice back in pan.
- Add to blender onions, cilantro, ginger, can green chilies, ¼ cup water. Blend until it’s a smooth paste.
- Add paste to frying pan with saved lamb juice. Cook until brown (5 minutes)
- Add the lamb and green onions. Cook until hot and mixed.
- Remove from heat, add yoghurt.
- Serve with rice in lettuce wraps.
