Snack Hacks – Healthy Food on the Go

I want to share with you some of my favorite snacks for a quick lunch or between errands when I don’t have time to sit down for a nice salad.

First, we have veggie snacks: Crunchy Mung Beans by Beyond Bacon are great on their own or to sprinkle over a salad. Rich in Vitamin D, calcium, iron and magnesium. There’s also Crispy Beets from Fresh Gourmet. Guacamole is easy to find in packs, as is hummus. Guacamole is easy to find in packs, as is hummus.

Nuts and fruit: Nuts are great, and if they’re spouted, they’re even more healthy for you and easier to digest. Try Sprouted Pumpkin Seeds by Go Raw, rich in potassium, great for fiber, or Sprouted Walnuts by Thrive Market. A trail mix is always a good snack. I like Mega Omega by Power UP, a nice omega-3 blend. Dried fruit is a great source of nutrition. Choose sundried and unsulfured. Dates are a great source of fibre and potassium. Figs or fig bars are excellent as well, especially if you choose a brand with no sweeteners, no artificial flavoring and no artificial color.

Protein: For protein if you like dairy but want to avoid gluten, try Balanced Breaks, a quick go-to for protein. Organic Beef Jerky is also good option for protein on the go.

Kids: Go for pickles like the ones from O Snap!

Something sweet: Keto Coconut Clusters from Simply Nature, packed with seeds and covered in dark chocolate.
