Let’s talk vaccine safety concerns, specifically Thimerosal.

Thimerosal is a preservative that was used in vaccines like Hepatitis B, HIB (Haemophilus Influenzae), and the Polio vaccine back in the 1990s. The concern with Thimerosal is that it contains ethylmercury, and no amount of mercury is considered safe for the brain, liver, or kidneys.

In 2001, the FDA removed Thimerosal from all vaccines except one—the inactivated flu vaccine when stored in multi-use vials. If you’re getting a flu shot, request a single-use vial to avoid Thimerosal. All other vaccines are now Thimerosal-free.
